QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1.who can join the club? How do I join? How much does it cost?

Anyone with a love or interest in horses is welcome to join. We have single or family memberships for $15 or $25 respectively. All you need to do is download a form on the forms page and fill it out and return it with your membership fee or come to a meeting or show and fill out a form there.

2. When and where are the meetings?

Meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month at our Clubhouse - 8330 Seabolt Rd., Cumming, GA - at 7 p.m.

May, November and December meetings are usually held on different days due to conflict with holidays, and are announced ahead of time. You are welcome to bring food and beverage [non-alcoholic] to the meetings.

3. Do I have to be a member to show my horse?

No, not at all. We welcome members and non-members alike to our show ring. We do hope that you will like our Club so much that you want to join after participating in our shows. Advantage to membership is the entry fees are slightly lower. Members and Sponsors also receive monthly newsletters via e-mail. Registration forms and Class Schedules are available under the Forms tab on the Website.

4. What should I bring to show?

As mandated by Georgia Law, you will need a copy of a current Coggins test, $5/person Gate Fee (unless you are volunteering to work), money for entry fees, and food (local checks are welcome), and possibly a folding chair. Water is available.

5. What kind of show is this? What kind of horses are shown?

This is a family oriented club. We show our horses enjoyment, as well as to maintain there physical tone for bigger shows in some cases. We have fun classes - water glass class, stick class, pairs class, etc., more "serious classes" such as Western Pleasure, Country Pleasure Racking, Walk, Trot English, Novice class, Juvenile class, etc.

We welcome all age groups, although anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

We welcome, stock horses, gaited horses, Saddlebreds, Spotted Horses, etc. Dress is informal, but you may dress in show attire as well. In October, we have three costume classes in addition to the regular classes.
